A network is a collection of computers , servers, mainframes, network devices, peripherals, or other devices connected to one another to allow the sharing of data. The basic concepts of networking technology are to improve communication, increase efficiency, and enhanced mobility.

The important goals of a computer network are resource sharing, high reliability, inter-process communication and flexible access.   IT Systems will work to develop a secure network to allow this to happen.
